Veterinary Consultation
All vets are fully qualified and approachable. We provide medical and surgical consultation for dogs, cats and all other small animals. All yearly vaccinations and consultations include a full physical examination by the vets .

Acupuncture
Happy Tails also offers our patients alternative natural therapies. A Veterinary Acupuncturist is available on site for consultation. We believe it is important to offer our clients both western and traditional Chinese medicine options, which can work well to complement each other to provide optimum treatment results.

Vaccinations
All animals are given a full physical examination by a vet before vaccination. At Happy Tails Vet we cater for puppy and kitten vaccinations as well as yearly boosters. We also have Rabbit and Ferret vaccinations available.
We offer C5 vaccinations to our adult dogs; this includes protection against Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine adenovirus/hepatitis and Kennel Cough. C3 vaccinations and intranasal Kennel Cough Vaccinations are also available. For adult Cats we offer F3 vaccinations; this includes protection against Feline Enteritis, Feline Rhinotracheitis/Herpesvirus and Feline Calicivirus. For extra protection we can also offer FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) and FeLV (Feline Leukaemia Virus) vaccinations.

Microchip implantation
All dogs and cats are required to be microchiped and registered with the appropriate council by the time they reach 6 months of age. At Happy Tails we are able to scan and implant microchips into your pet. The procedure is quick and can relatively painless.  Vets can implant a microchip during consultations.

Nutritional advice / Prescription Foods
At Happy Tails we carry a range of different specialised and prescription foods. The vets and nurses at Happy Tails are knowledgeable on all the brands and varieties we carry and can help you choose a brand and type of food that will best suit your pet. We stock Hills Science Diet, Royal Canin and Advance Premium Foods.

Soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery
All Vets at Happy Tails are fully qualified and experienced Veterinary Surgeons. We routinely perform desexing operations and most soft tissue and basic orthopaedic surgeries at our hospital. At Happy Tails we carry a wide range of safe anaesthetics for your pets and will cater and use the best anaesthetic protocol that best suits your individual animal.

X-ray Imaging /Ultrasound
At Happy Tails we have a specially designed X-ray Facility with the latest radiology equipment. All x-rays can be carried out on site and most images are available within a few hours. We have an on call VIA Ultrasound Specialist who can perform ultrasounds onsite by appointment.

Dentistry
Dental disease is a common problem amongst dogs and cats. At Happy Tails we have the latest dental equipment for your pet. We can also advise clients on ways to prevent tartar and calculi build up to prevent dentals and further complications later on in life.

In house and external laboratory and pathology services
Happy Tails Vet has onsite pathology and laboratory services available to all our clients 7 days a week. Our staff can perform in house tests to give immediate results the same day.
The onsite facility enables us to perform quick blood and urine analysis for urgent cases and also allows us to perform pre-anaesthetic blood screens before surgery.

Specialist Referral
Happy Tails Veterinary Hospital is closely associated with some of the major Emergency and Referral Animal Centres in the area. We can easily and quickly transfer medical records and cases to specialist veterinarians for specialist medical opinions and surgeries.

Boarding: VIP Dog Bedrooms and Spacious Cat Condos
Our spacious upper level VIP boarding facility caters for all our spoilt dogs and kitty cats. We have 5 spacious dog bedrooms, each with a 4 poster bed and trampoline as well as view! Our 13 Cat Condos allow cats to walk and play between rooms and relax on the comfy platforms and hidey holes.
All dogs are walked three times daily and cats have twice daily play time. All guests are fed only Premium food during their stay. At Happy Tails Boarding we especially cater for those dogs and cats that need regular medical attention, medication or just extra TLC.

Puppy School
Happy Tails Puppy School runs every Tuesday evening between 6:30pm and 7:30pm. The course operates once a week for four weeks and the whole family is invited to attend. Our Trainer is Katharina Theodore, she is Delta Society accredited, highly experienced and has a strong background in animal training. Katharina is also a Taronga Zoo keeper/trainer for the Free Flight Bird Show and Elephants.

Grooming
Happy Tails also offers a grooming service to our clients. We groom both cats and dogs. Clients have an option to use our professional groomer or our experienced hospital nurse groomers. Please call Happy Tails Vet to make an appointment.
