Audrey is the twin sister of Alison, also one of the directors and vets at Happy Tails. She lives locally in Abbotsford with her cheeky Chihuahua- ‘’Peanut’’, also known as the love of her life! Audrey graduated from the University of Sydney with Alison. Audrey loves her small dogs and has a keen speciality in eyes. She has completed the Post Graduate Course in Ophthalmology.
Dr Alison Shen BVSc (hons) MRCVS
Alison is one of the directors and vets at Happy Tails. Together with her twin sister Audrey, they set up the hospital in Five Dock. Alison graduated from the University of Sydney. She lives in Five Dock with her husband and their beloved ‘Jojo’- her mini foxy, who was her ‘Page boy’ at their wedding last year. 'Peanut', Audrey's chihuahua was also designated the role of flower girl! Alison is our Acupuncture Specialist and has completed the IVAS course.
Millissa Agius -Practice Manager/Head Vet Nurse
Milissa joins the Happy Tails Team with over 7 years experience of veterinary nursing. She has completed all veterinary nursing certificates. Her caring nature, nursing and management skills make her a valuable asset to the hospital. Milissa has played an important role in staff training and development of Happy Tails Veterinary Hospital. She recently adopted one of our very own adorable cat adoption kittens- 'Hamish'.
Emily De Liguori - Veterinary Nurse
Emily is our Full Time Veterinary Nurse. She joins the team as a fully qualified vet nurse, graduating in 2007. Although Emily has only been with us for 5 months, her caring and bubbly nature has quickly made her one of the family here at Happy Tails. Emily has a love for the 'smallies'- especially Rats! and has owned everything from rats, cats, dogs and birds.
Dr Jay Dulichan BVSc (RSA)
Dr Jay joins the Happy Tails Team with over 20 years experience in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. He has been working in Sydney for the last 8 years and has a special interest in Elective Soft Tissue Surgery. Dr Jay has also completed a course in General Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr Jay is a proud owner of a Maltese cross Shih Tzu called 'Jadoo' which means 'Magic' in Hindi!
Dr. Amy Lee BVSc (hons)
Dr. Amy is the newest addition to our team at Happy Tails. Amy graduated from the University of Sydney in 2005 with first class honours. Following her love of the outdoors and the beach, she moved to sunny Port Macquarie where she practiced for 4 years. Amy has returned to Sydney to sit her Membership examinations in Small Animal Internal Medicine with the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists. Whilst she loves all aspects of her job, her passions are medicine, oncology, nutrition, care of senior pets, wildlife, birds and pocket pets. When she is not at work, Amy can be found running with her cattle dog, Roy, snuggling with her cats Sassy and Jack, or having a good old chat with her lorikeet, Kevin!
Rebekah Lillie
Happy Tails Welcomes our newest nurse to the team, Rebekah! Rebekah's interest in nursing began in 2008, when she enrolled into Animal Studies and began volunteering as a Vet nurse, since then she has worked her way though nursing school and she is currently completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Rebekah has always loved animals and science from a young age and won the Victor Chang Scholorship in Year 11 &12 school for Exellence in Science.
She has 2 cats, 'Missy' (a.k.a 'Fat Cat'), who was rescued as a stray kitten and is still enjoying life at 15 years of age! She also is mum to 'Zoogi', her fluffy 3 year old Torti. To add to her list of pampered pets, is her Cavoodle, 'Maleeka', who LOVES to get up to mischief! And not forgeting her Siamese Fighting Fish, known as 'Bruce'!
